October Bridal Fashion Week: Oscar de la Renta

Going to the Oscar de la Renta showroom is so unreal! It is so chic and you know you are standing in a true design house.

Unfortunately for us, ODLR does their big runway show in April BUT not to worry--they always have a few fun new things in October!

Could you just die for this headband with the Russian tulle over it?!?! Can't wait to have it in our possession!

Check out his belt! It has an art deco feel...so incredible.

And we are SO excited to be carrying ODLR's bridal shoes! So fabulous! Don't you just love the close toe pump with the bow? We need them in every color.

and the pièce de résistance...

So romantic!

b. Hughes Bridal is welcoming....

At b. Hughes we are so excited to announce that we will be carrying...

Carolina Herrera!!!

We could not be more thrilled to be apart of the Carolina Herrera family. Her designs "have a sophisticated classic style that evokes New York society and the era of elegance."

Carolina Herrera is such a style and fashion icon and we cannot wait to have her gowns here in the store!

Does this one look familiar?
You may have seen it on the cover of Martha Stewart Weddings!

We will be sure to let you know as soon as the first gown arrives!!

b. Hughes Bride in Town and Country

This current issue of Town and Country Weddings (with an Oscar de la Renta on the cover) features our beautiful bride, Sara Horvitz. She married Bradley Corr in September of 2008 at the beautiful Ritz in Bachelor Gulch. She wore a Vera Wang made of silk mikado. Her bridesmaids also wore Vera Wang.

Please enjoy...

October Bridal Fashion Week: Vera Wang

One of our very favorite stops when we are in New York for Bridal Fashion Week is the legendary Vera Wang showroom.

We just wanted to give you a sneak peak of what is coming out for Fall 2010. This collection, "celebrates the cinematic beauty, daring, and drama of Cecil Beaton's 'My Fair Lady'. " -Vera Wang.

Accessories are huge in bridal fashion. Everywhere we went, we saw belts with embellishment and shrugs! The third one was worn by Khloe Kardashian (on lavender) for her recent nuptials!

Loving the one shoulder with the lily of the valley detailing!

This one is made in part of horse hair, which has a fabulous luminescence to it!

She did it again...this is Esther and she is comprised of Chantilly lace, re-embroidered lace, and French tulle. It can be done without the lace buildup (the sleeves). This dress is for the fashionable bride who still wants to incorporate timeless elements.

This one is to die for! It has an illusion neckline (look closely and you can see the corset). It is perfect for the bride who wants straps, but also loves the look of a soft sweetheart neckline. It may be hard to tell, but the skirt of this gown actually has a soft, veiled metallic hand painting. It just picked up the light as she passed. Phenomenal!

Another fashionable, yet timeless look....

Do you think this one looks familiar? It is actually the dress Carrie wore in the photo shoot in the Sex and the City movie!! They FINALLY produced it! Loving that shrug...

What do you think?? Which ones are your favorites? We would love to hear what you think!

Oh, Martha Stewart Weddings

We just want to say a huge congratulations to Martha Stewart Weddings on their 15th Anniversary issue! Here in Nashville, and especially at b. Hughes, we love every time our mail man walks in with the newest issue. Not only are our designers (Vera Wang, Oscar de la Renta, Badgley Mischka, and Romona Keveza) frequently gracing the covers and the pages of the magazine, there are also fabulous DIY wedding ideas that look so fantastic.

We have also had so much fun following Martha Stewart on Twitter (to do so, just click here @MarthaWeddings and @MarthaStewart). The Weddings issue is definitely one of our favorites and if you have not checked it out, you definitely should! We are excited to celebrate with Darcy and the gang at their upcoming anniversary party in New York and please stay tuned for more pictures!

You can also tune in to The Brides Guide by Darcy Miller, which is a fabulous blog by the Editorial Director of Martha Stewart Weddings.
