Romona Keveza Collection Spring 2011

In keeping with our Romona Keveza Trunk show coming up on April 30th and May 1st, we thought we would show you the newest gowns from the Romona Keveza Collection that will be in stores in the Fall! Collection is one of two bridal lines that Romona Keveza designs (the other is her Legends line). While all of her gowns maintain an "old-Hollywood" feel, Collection is for the bride who is drawn to a fashion flair. These gowns tend to have a bit of sass, while still remaining timeless.

Not to toot our own horn (because all we did was provide the dress), but Romona was so in awe of the photo shoot done by Jose Villa, OnceWed.com, and Joy Thigpen, she chose the iconic black dress as one of her finale pieces on the runway :)

Now onto the runway, which by the way, we thought was so incredibly fabulous (which I know we say a LOT, but it is true :) )!!

The worst part of market is having to wait for our samples!! Keep in mind, these Romona Keveza bridal gowns will be arriving in Nashville in early Fall of 2010.

Romona Keveza Collection & Legends Trunk Show: April 30th & May 1st

The last weekend in April, we have the pleasure of hosting BOTH of Romona Keveza's Collections: Legends and Couture. Romona Keveza overall has a feeling of old Hollywood glamour. She oozes sophistication. The Legends collection seeks a timeless bride while Collection plays more towards the bride, while timeless, wants to be a bit more fashion forward.

Please join us in seeing these GORGEOUS collections!! An appointment is required to attend, so please contact us to reserve your fitting room and consultant. Our number is 615.297.7800 or feel free to send us an email, bhughesbridalformal@gmail.com.

We will leave you with some pictures of what is in store for you!

Vera Wang Maids Spring 2011

We loved Vera Wang's Bridal Spring 2011 Collection, but her wonderfulness did not stop there, her Maids Collection was also absolutely fabulous. In fact, the term "maids" seems a little outdated when referring to these little numbers. Your friends will thank you for putting them in these dresses!

Vera Wang Bridal Spring 2011

To kick off our market review, we are going to begin with the one and only, Vera Wang. Prior to us seeing the collection, we heard from fellow stores, how incredible it was, "her best collection yet," was a frequent comment made, and they were right.

In Vera Wang's words, "The Vera Wang 2011 Spring-Summer Collection celebrates the fragile femininity of 'tea party' and 'garden party' dresses. Frothy gowns of extreme delicacy in the palest Easter egg tints of lavender, blush, rose and silver gray inspire a certain gaiety and youthful spirit. Occasional bodices of beautiful floral embroideries and skirts of hand-painted lace provide a charming counterpoint to the sophisticated architectural pieces. These are romantic artful clothes that appear to float-all lightness and air!"

A lot of these dresses were shown in pale colors, but they most definitely come in ivory or white. Another interesting thing we found, is that Vera Wang did not include ANY crinoline in these dresses (the itchy fabric beneath the gowns).

Please let us know what you think!

Back from The City

If you have been following us on twitter, you know that we have been in New York City (for market) for the last few days. While technically, we were there for business, that didn't stop us from enjoying every single minute of that fun city! We attended runway shows (I know, it is all in the name of business) and market appointments, did a little shopping, and ate probably a little too much food--you have to walk a lot in the city though right?

In celebration of all the new things we saw, we will be taking the next few days to blog about all of our conquests! We cannot wait to show you all the new designs from Vera Wang, Oscar de la Renta, Carolina Herrera, Romona Keveza Collection, Legends by Romona Keveza, Badgley Mischka, Reem Acra and the new maids gowns. We are still on a little bit of a fashion high (Oscar de la Renta and Vera Wang may have shown their best collections yet) these gowns will be coming to Nashville in the fall. But not to worry!!!! We are currently getting in our new gowns that we ordered in October! ALSO get a sneak peak of the new collections at the trunk shows we have coming up!

A few of the trends we saw throughout all the designers were: peplums, straps, changeable looks (taking off or adding different pieces), exposed corset tops, and boleros (or cover ups).

Up first: Vera Wang, so you better stay tuned...
