What to Pack for you Wedding Day Emergency Kit!

Although you've planned for everything to go perfectly on your wedding day, you want to stay one step ahead of any possible mishaps by preparing an emergency kit with all essentials in tow. All brides (or maid of honors) should have a box prepared with the following tools to fix any problem that comes about!

  • Sewing Kit- for any unwanted snags, rips or loose buttons. Be sure to have proper thread colors, hem tape, needles, safety pins and scissors on hand.
  • Lint Brush- to keep everyone looking fresh and clean from stray hair, thread, lint, etc.
  • Deodorant- you want to make sure you smell and feel clean! Just be sure not to get it on your dress!
  • Toothbrush/Toothpaste/Mouthwash- for the perfect fresh first kiss!
  • Nail File/Nail Polish- in case you end up chipping a nail. It wouldn't be a bad idea to buy the nail color you use at the salon for you big day.
  • Hair Spray/Bobby Pins/Brush- for any last minute fly-a-ways. You want to keep your hair looking beautiful throughout the day!
  • Make-up bag- for necessary touch-ups. You should include powder to get rid of any unwanted shine, mascara to brighten up your eyes, blush to keep the color in your cheeks and lipstick/gloss to keep your lips smooth and hydrated.
  • Tissues- to dry up any tears (happy of course!) among you and your wedding party.
  • Contact Solution/Eye Drops- to relieve the redness and re-dampen your eyes after the tears.
  • Lotion- to keep your skin looking silky smooth.
  • Tampons- in case of an emergency!
  • Band-aids- for any cuts, scrapes or blisters (break in your shoes before hand to avoid the last one!)
  • Water and Snacks- to keep you hydrated and sooth your nerves. Obviously you don't want to bring anything messy that may end up all over your face (or more importantly your dress!). You may also want to bring a few straws to drink from to prevent any spills.
  • Shout Wipes/Stain Remover- in case you do end up with something on your dress (God forbid!). Make sure to test these on the same or a like fabric before using.
  • Advil and Tums- to relieve a stress headache and a case of the the nerves. You want to feel perfect on you perfect day!!
  • Legal Documents- i.e. wedding license! Need I say more?
Happy Wedding Emergency Kit Packing!! :)
